Orr Announces Launch of New Edition of www.Orr2008.com

(Raleigh, NC) Tuesday, January 15th, Justice Robert Orr, Republican candidate for Governor, issued the following statement to announce the launch of www.Orr2008.com

The Orr campaign announced the kick off of its 2008 primary phase of the campaign for Governor of North Carolina with the launch of the new edition of its website (www.Orr2008.com).

Justice Orr commented that “with just under four months to go, the Orr for Governor Campaign is ready, able, and determined to win. In an effort to focus on the real issues of the race and to share my vision of the right answers to tough questions, we have released the new website containing my perspective on issues facing the citizens of North Carolina.”

Orr believes that open, honest government and solutions to the issues facing North Carolina are what the voters are concerned about. “Our campaign of ideas will generate the substantive discussion the voters want to hear,” Orr said. “This campaign is not just about the next four years but rather is about the next twenty years and beyond for the citizens of North Carolina.”

Orr announced his candidacy for NC Governor early in 2007. Since that time he has traveled thousands of miles across the state, met with voters and listened to their issues and concerns. This insight, combined with Orr’s experience, knowledge and character, have led to a message Orr is determined to take to the people of North Carolina on his path to winning the Republican Primary Election on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.

"We want people to visit our website and get involved with our campaign. In order to help accomplish this we are announcing an opportunity for people to visit www.Orr2008.com and enter a drawing for 2 prime lower level seats at the UNC vs. Duke basketball game on February 6th in Chapel Hill. We’re simply asking participants to contribute a minimum of $25 to the campaign to help us get our message out to the voters and to defray our campaign expenses,” campaign manager Dave Woolf said.

“I tried to convince the staff to let me use one of these tickets,” Orr said. “It should be a great game between two of the top teams in America. But I suppose I’ll just take the winner to dinner, then watch the game on TV.”
