Orr Kicks-Off Gubernatorial Campaign

(Raleigh, NC) – Tonight, Justice Robert F. Orr officially kicked off his gubernatorial campaign among hundreds of supporters in Raleigh. The event was held at South Restaurant and was sponsored by over 30 friends of Justice Orr.

“I was delighted with the response from supporters, many of whom aren’t traditionally involved with political campaigns,” said Orr. “Their overwhelming support shows that North Carolinians see the desperate need for change in our state.”

Justice Orr has reason to celebrate. His gubernatorial campaign has already been gaining support according to recent polls. In April, the Civitas Institute polled North Carolinians on who they would choose as their next Republican Governor. Justice Orr tied for first with 13% of the vote, up from 8% in March.

“My campaign kick-off is the first of many events I have planned across the state to reach out to voters. Voters deserve the chance to talk about what our state truly needs; reform. We need reform in our state government, reform in our education system, and reform in our economic practices. It is my hope voters give me the opportunity to bring this comprehensive reform to North Carolina.”
